"A New Dawn Is Coming" Pt. 3 - Sept 6th
Hidden in Plain Sight
15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked. 16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:15-17 (NIV)
“Present Became Visible”
- LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING
18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18.
4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:4–5 (NIV)
- ETERNITY BECOMES VISIBLE BY FAITH
“We walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7
- NEARSIGHTEDNESS MUST BE CONSTANTLY CORRECTED
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17
If your faith is slipping, maybe your ears aren’t listening.
- SEEING THE INVISIBLE, YOU CAN DO THE IMPOSSIBLE
37 They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— Heb 11:37
